Lots of Steelhead and Early Salmon
While the boat pressure has increased since earlier in the month, fishing has remained good. Were catching lots of summer steelhead and a surprising amount of early fall king salmon. Down in tidewater, there are salmon flopping around everywhere waiting for the water to cool so they can make a push upriver. This is a good indicator for later in August and September, there should be plenty of kings to play with later in the season!
I had a cancellation for today so I'm at home. It looks like periodic showers are in the forecast for today, which should help cool the water down a bit. This should push a bunch of fish upriver and improve an already good bite. I have this weekend open and plenty of space into August. The steelhead fishing should be great through the month and increasing numbers of salmon should make for some wonderful action!
