Things to look forward to....

Sorry for the lack of reports but, well.... I haven't been fishing much. Local spring river doldrums are starting to recede, though. Spring salmon fishing on the Klamath river has started to get hot with dropping river conditions. While the lower klamath fishery is primirily done out of jet boats, I will begin fishing the spring chinook with the driftboat on the upper Trinity in late June/Early July. These are fabulous eating salmon due to thier high fat content. Since the ocean season is closed, these are the only salmon we can keep this summer. Sad but true. However, if you want to grill a fresh salmon this summer, I do have openings in this time frame.

It's also time to start thinking about the fall run on the Klamath and Trinity. I'm already booked solid for the month of October, but I have a few spots in September, which is prime time to catch both King Salmon and Steelhead. Weather at this time of the year is beautiful, and the fishing can be lights out!
